The house offers a very well equipped kitchen with many utensils and appliances, 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, 2 hobs, 2 fridges, a freezer, ...
Hobby chefs will certainly enjoy themselves here to cook for a group of family or friends.
The bar chairs on the kitchen island ensure that you can start with aperitifs while you are cooking.
Living space and dining area
A long table for 20 people is perfect for enjoying a delicious lunch or dinner together.
In winter, the fireplace adds to the atmosphere.
For small children there are 4 high chairs available and there is a small playing corner.
Next to the dining area there is a cozy sitting area with TV and large U-shaped sofa. Perfect for an aperitif, or just to chill and chat.
The lounge/games room on the first floor offers a second sitting area with television (including all sports channels) and plenty of entertainment options: a pool table, table football, electronic darts.
In general, this space is very popular with young people, so that the slightly older generations can enjoy quietly downstairs.
Although we have also heard from older generations that they love the play area...

Bedrooms
8 bedrooms for 20 people...
The house has 8 bedrooms, each named after one of the nice spots in the village.
Each room has a double bed. In addition to the double bed, two rooms also have 2 single beds.
All rooms are sufficiently spacious, tastefully decorated and have sufficient space for storing clothes.
Two of the bedrooms are equipped with a baby cot. Two extra foldable baby cots are also available.
The rooms are spread over 3 floors: there is 1 room on the ground floor, 3 rooms on the first floor, and 4 rooms on the second floor.
... and 8 bathrooms
Each bedroom has its own shower, shower room or private bathroom.
In addition to a shower, two rooms also have a spacious bath.
Four bedrooms have their own toilet in the bathroom. (In addition, there is a separate toilet on each floor.)
A bit of history
The house was originally built in 1870 - as a "Relais de Poste" - a building where the mail was sorted and where the postmen could change horses on their route, or spend the night on multi-day trips.
During World War II, when the Resistance was very active in the region, the house was used as a shelter for resistance fighters, as evidenced by hiding places and weapons found during later renovation works.
After the war, the building was transformed into a hardware store on the ground floor. The owners lived on the higher floors.
Finally, in 2017-2018, the entire building was renovated and the house was transformed into a "gte rural" or holiday home.
